Why does detailing take so long?

How long does detailing take?

There are a lot of different factors that go into this question. Such as the kind of car, the condition of the car, and the tools and products that we have to get the job done.

All detailers are different and have their own systems and things that help them get through cars faster. But for most detailers it usually takes 2-3 hours. This is the time it takes for a full inside out detail. Which is a more basic service.

Different Package Time?

The type of detail you are getting makes a difference as well, since we are limited to 5 services we will be covering those services only.

For a Full Inside and out detail it usually takes about 2-3 hours but this our weekly package we can detail your car weekly and it would take only 30 minutes because we are maintaining a car we clean which means it will never get too dirty.

On an exterior detail the job will take about 30 minutes to an hour depending on the weather, the tools and our access to water.

Our interior detail usually takes about 1-1 ½ hours. This is because we do our best to make sure everything looks spotless and by wiping down and agitating everything vacuuming and the windows and checking our work to make sure it’s perfect.

On our headlight restoration it only takes about 30-45 minutes.

And last but not least we shampoo seats. This usually takes about an hour to make sure that we get everything out of the seats and get them looking as good as possible.

How often should I do it?

For a car you drive daily you can get a detail every couple of months if you keep up with vacuuming and the exterior then it’s fine. But if you don’t even want to clean the car at the least you should be getting your car cleaned once a month or so.

To make it easy to keep it clean the long you wait the worse it gets.

Does time affect the price of my details?

This is depending on the detailer for us, time is not depending on the price.

Our price is based on effort and how hard the job is for us to complete.

So a lot of bugs, a lot of pet hair, a lot of stains or a lot of dirt. These are things that can all lead to up charges because this is extra work not expected in the detail but this rarely happens.
